Tottenham Hotspur long-awaitedmove to the reconstructed White Hart Lane took longer than normal. However, the move to the stadium is designed to put the team in a position of strength in the coming years.

It looks like Daniel Levy is ready to sanction a huge transfer window after the past two transfer windows have resulted in the signings of Zero first team players. Manager Mauricio Pochettino has done a great job in keeping the club at the level they are despite spending little money in the past seasons.

It is understood that the Argentine tactician would be allowed to spend money in the summer as he seeks to make Tottenham genuine title contenders next season. Tottenham have suffered in the past month as the club has been dragged back into the top 4 race.  The defeat of Arsenal by Everton keeps the club third in the table one point above of fifth-placed Chelsea.

One key area that Pochettino wants to strengthen is in the midfield area as the club has been linked with the signing of Croatia international Ivan Perisic. According to the bookies Tottenham are favourites to sign the 29-year-old wide midfielder.

Perisic was close to a transfer to Spurs rivals Arsenal in January but a move failed to materialise on deadline day. The central midfield is also thought as a major position to strengthen and Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish has been touted as a replacement for Moussa Dembele who left the club in January for the Chinese Super League.Dembele was an able replacement for Wilson Palacios in the midfield and Grealish is capable of playing a similar role.

Leicester midfielder James Maddison has also been linked with the club as Pochettino seeks to add more creativity to the team. Maddison has been impressive in his first season at Leicester City and Spurs are huge fans of the player.  Tottenham next faces EPL rivals in the Champions League Quarter Finals at White Hart Lane in midweek.
