Stoke city midfielder Wilson Palacios has said that he is looking forward to returning to first-team action in the match against Blackburn.
Wilson Palacios has been ruled out of the first team action for quite some time now due to injury problems, but the midfielder is now ready to return to the Stoke city side. Even though Wilson Palacios has not been the first-team regular he once used to be, one cannot doubt his quality one little bit.
Wilson Palacios moved to Stoke city in a £ 6 million deal from Tottenham in the summer. Since then, he has played only 38 min of Premier League football, but one can expect to see him more often than not in the future.
So far, Wilson Palacios has started in four matches for Stoke city, but the midfielder could be back in contention for a starting place in the match against Blackburn Rovers. Even though the threat of relegation has been away from Stoke city for quite a while, they will not be taking Blackburn Rovers lightly. Even though the 3-2 loss at the hands of QPR has made them vulnerable to the threat of relegation, Wilson Palacios believes that Stoke city have enough quality to get them away from the drop zone.
“I am 100 per cent and at the manager’s disposal, but it is up to Tony Pulis to put me in the team. I am happy at Stoke. I came here with a bad injury, but now I’m ready to play. The players at Stoke are very good, so I have to fight for my place,” Wilson Palacios said in an interview given to a Football Roadshow. A start for Wilson Palacios would reunite him with his former Tottenham teammate Peter Crouch.
