Honduran football was thrown into deep mourning following tragic news of the death of a goalkeeper, Oscar Sein Munguia Zelaya, just outside one of his favorite bars.

Some say it must have been hired assassins responsible for the unfortunate event, considering the manner in which the operation was executed to perfection. It does look likely this was the case.
Hoy Mismo, a Honduran news channel announced that the goalkeeper was shot just outside his favorite bar alongside a very close friend of his.
It was also reported that the killer of the 27 year old goalkeeper fled on a motorcycle immediately after pulling the trigger.
Zelaya plies his trade in the Honduran football league at Club Deportivo Vida, a club currently occupying eight spot on the table.
Following the news of the tragic death of Oscar Zelaya, the Honduran club released an emotional statement on their official twitter account, expressing their condolences to the family of the player.
The 27-year old was an unused substitute for his club’s last game which was a clash against Olimpia. Vida came out tops with a narrow 1-0 margin.
Zelaya has been an integral part of the Vida’s squad and his death will come as a huge shock to the club and its supporters. We can only wish them goodluck for the future, hoping they will find their balance in no distant future.
The Honduras national police force have begun intensive negotiations as they look into the murder of the goalkeeper.
The country in itself has one of the highest rate of murder in the world and a lot of crimes typically go unresolved.
