A former player for Tottenham Wilson Palacios opines that the combination of Victor Wanyama and MousaDembele in the midfield changed the team for the better and not necessarily Harry Kane and Dele Alli that everyone raves about.

The team led by Coach Mauricio Pochettino has been very good in defence this term and it has helped in their surge. Palacios is saying the pair is the main reason the team is playing the way Pochettino wants as they provide a strong cover for the backline.

The career of Wilson Palacios has recently suffered a huge dip after the Honduran midfielder was released by the MLS side on November of 2016 and now the future of Palacios is starting to appear unclear.

Wilson Palacios has made his way through some of the biggest Premier League clubs with Tottenham Hotspur as he performed there from 2009 until 2011 but his reality right now is completely different as a few years ago.

Former Stoke City midfielder Wilson Palacios has revealed how losing his younger brother to armed kidnappers made him determined to tackle gang culture and end kidnapping.

Palacios was playing for Birmingham City in 2007 when his younger brother Edwin was abducted from his family house in Honduras by an armed gang before he was found dead a 19 months later.

“My brother was taken away from us by one of these gangs, they wanted money, so we paid the ransom, but he never came back to us.

“It was devastating. It changed my life and made me think I didn’t want any other children to go through the same things,” Palacios told Daily Star.

When everything was officially confirmed and Palacios was indeed released from Stoke City, Hull City snapped up the Honduran midfielder on trial but he was never truly able to impress the coach Steve Bruce and unfortunately for Palacios, a permanent contract wasn’t offered to him.
